Four Days Post-Op

Hello, my friends and dear readers. OK, let's be fair, you don't exist yet. But I decided this is the best way to chronicle and store for myself, and share, if I feel like it, the details and photos of my plastic surgery. I had breast lift, breast implants under the muscle, and some minimal circumferencial liposuction on my stomach, flanks, butt, and thighs. More details later on that.

First I'm gonna post some pics of my breasts, four days post-op. They are not really beautiful yet, but not bad for four days out. The implants take weeks or even months to "settle," -- you have to wear this tight, uncomfortable band over the top of them to convince them to settle down. So, I am assured my breasts will end up perkier than this -- the nipple will be higher -- when they settle. I have read this multiple places as well as hearing it from my surgeon, who does NOT set unrealistic expectations -- he seems to me to be very realistic -- for instance, he would not remove too much fat on the lipo because he says my skin is too flaccid and it could sag -- like your skin could look like a sock falling down your leg -- ack! -- and he didn't -- he left some fat, which is fine. That was one long sentence. Of course, I'm swollen, so I'm hoping I'll be smaller than this. Anyway. Next post will be the pics.

I think your breasts look great! I hope you take that in the non-creepy way that I meant it. I'm reading your posts over on the Dope and it's really fascinating. One of my sister's had a breast reduction done and I remember how tough the recovery period was for her. I'm happy to hear that you've made it through the worst part. I hope the rest of the healing goes just as well. Good luck!
